I'm Joana Alves — designer, visual thinker, and Porto native.
Right now, I’m diving into a master’s in Editorial Projects at FBAUP. My path into design started at ESAD, where I discovered graphic design and never looked back.
Before that? I dabbled in everything from set and costume design to jewelry, carpentry, and photography — each one adding a layer to how I see and create.
Since then, I’ve explored web design, packaging, illustration, type, art direction, and more. I like to stay curious, keep things fresh, and always design with intention.

Throughout my academic journey, I’ve had the chance to explore different disciplines, work on real-world projects, and collaborate with inspiring peers and mentors. This foundation continues to influence the way I approach every new challenge.
